Our Dove Swivel Memorial Ashes Locket Necklace is a unique design, created as a gentle tribute to peace, love and enduring connection. The dove has long been a symbol of remembrance and spiritual comfort across cultures, representing hope, protection and the soul’s journey beyond the physical world. This piece carries that symbolism in a refined and contemporary form.

Handmade in your choice of sterling silver or solid gold, the locket features a concealed swivel front that moves aside to reveal your loved one’s precious cremation ashes, carefully set in resin within. You may personalise your locket by selecting from 11 colour options, with the choice of adding crushed opal for a luminous, iridescent finish, or opting for a smooth flat tone with a subtle shimmer. You can also choose whether the ashes sit visibly above the colour layer, or beneath it for a softer, more discreet appearance.

A short personalised message may be engraved on the reverse of the locket — including your own handwriting for an even more meaningful touch.

Please note: Locket supplied with jump-ring (to thread onto a chain) as standard. Chains can be added at additional cost below. This design works particularly well with our beautiful Hayseed Chain.

Once we receive your order, we will send you a simple kit to collect a small amount of your loved one’s cremation ashes. The kit contains a biodegradable sealable bag and spoon, allowing you to gather the ashes with care and dignity.

We require approximately one teaspoon of ashes per item ordered. Only a small amount of ashes will be used, and all unused ashes will be carefully returned to you along with your finished pieces.

For your convenience, a return envelope is provided. Please note that return postage is not included. To ensure the ashes reach us safely, we strongly recommend using Royal Mail Special Delivery when sending memorial ashes.

We offer a choice of 11 beautiful colours, each available either with crushed opal or as a simple flat colour finish. 

Adding crushed opal creates a stunning iridescent effect, as the tiny opal fragments catch the light and reveal flashes of rainbow colour. Our flat colours offer a more understated elegance, with a soft shimmer created by the pearl powder used to tint the resin.

You can also choose whether your loved one’s ashes are set beneath the colour layer or placed above it so they remain visible. This is entirely a personal choice. However, if you select an opal finish, the sparkle and colour flashes of the opal are often more noticeable when the ashes are positioned beneath the colour layer.

This design can feature a short message engraved on the back. Choose from the below font options, or provide your own handwriting to be engraved.

For handwritten messages, its best to limit to 3-4 words max to ensure legibility of the engraving.

Each piece is individually made to order in our Shropshire studio by our goldsmith, Melanie — a designer-maker with over a decade of experience creating meaningful memorial jewellery.

Our stated production time begins from the date we receive your ashes and reflects the care and craftsmanship involved in creating your piece. During particularly busy periods, this timeframe may vary slightly.
