Sending us your ashes is often an emotional step, but we do our best to make this as simple as possible, with peace of mind from start to finish.
Sending ashes
We ask for a small scoop of ashes for each piece ordered, providing a simple kit to help. Only a pinch of ashes will be used, the rest will be returned to you. When you are ready, post your ashes to us - using whichever postage option you prefer.
Once we receive your ashes
we'll message to let you know, then your ashes will be safely stored until we need them. We work strictly on one piece of ashes jewellery at a time, ensuring ashes are handled individually. Making ashes jewellery is a slow and deliberate process, but we truly believe jewellery as important as this is not something to be rushed.
When your jewellery is ready
It is carefully packaged & posted by a tracked service. All unused ashes are returned with your finished jewellery.

From the moment your ashes arrive with us, they are carefully recorded and stored securely until we begin creating your jewellery. We work on each piece individually, ensuring your ashes are always handled separately and with complete care throughout.
Only a very small amount of ashes is needed, and any remaining ashes are returned to you alongside your finished piece.

We provide a small wooden scoop with our ashes collection kit and ask for 1 scoop of ashes per item ordered. We will only use a small pinch of ashes, but this ensures we can select the best ashes to create your jewellery. Any unused ashes will be returned to you together with your completed jewellery.

Our ashes jewellery is carefully made to order and deeply personalised. Making times can vary depending on the piece you choose, and our workload at the time we receive your order, but most ashes jewellery is completed within four to six weeks. We’ll let you know when we are about to begin work on your order, and when your order is being prepared for dispatch.

Yes, we can incorporate hair or other sentimental materials instead of ashes in designs from our Encaptured collection of Under the Stone collcetion. This can be a meaningful alternative for those who prefer it or do not have ashes available. If you’re unsure, feel free to get in touch to discuss your options.

Yes - sending ashes is safe. Our packaging is considered to ensure ashes are contained securely. You are able to post your ashes to us using whichever delivery service you feel most comfortable with. Our customers usually opt for a tracked service but the choice is yours. Local customers are also welcome to bring their ashes to us at Maws Craft Centre but let us know if you plan on making a special trip so we can ensure someone is there to meet you. Once your ashes arrive, they are securely stored and handled with care at all times.

Yes, it’s absolutely possible to create multiple pieces from the same ashes. Only a small amount is needed for each item, making it a lovely way for family members to each have their own personal keepsake.

Any ashes that are not used in the creation of your jewellery are carefully returned to you with your finished piece. We treat everything with respect and ensure nothing is ever lost or misplaced.

Of course - you can choose from a range of designs, including rings, necklaces, and bracelets. Each piece is made to order, allowing you to select something that feels personal and meaningful to you. Lots of our designs allow you to personalised colour, how the ashes are displayed, as well as engraved text and handwriting. Chains, bracelets and rings are all available in different sizes. If you can't find what you are looking for, or you are after something specific, just ask and wherever possible we will do our best to help.
