ASHES JEWELLERY | MEMORIAL JEWELLERY

WHY CHOOSE HOLD UPON HEART

Established in 2012, our memorial jewellery is made in the UK by an experienced goldsmith. Each piece is made with care and attention, and we’ve created meaningful keepsakes for thousands of satisfied customers.

We use precision laser engraving, ensuring lasting depth and clarity, so your personalised messages will not fade with wear.

Many of our designs can be personalised with your own handwriting at no extra cost, creating a truly unique and deeply sentimental keepsake.

We use recycled silver and gold wherever possible, and all of our packaging is thoughtfully designed to be eco-friendly.

FAQ

We require approximately one teaspoon of cremation ashes per item ordered. Only a very small, symbollic amount of ashes will be used, and all unused ashes will be carefully returned to you along with your finished pieces.

Once we receive your order, we will send a simple kit to collect a small amount of your loved one’s cremation ashes. The kit contains a biodegradable sealable bag and spoon, allowing you to gather the ashes with care and dignity.

For your convenience, a return envelope is provided. Please note that return postage is not included. To ensure the ashes reach us safely, we strongly recommend using Royal Mail Special Delivery when sending memorial ashes.

Ashes jewellery is individually handcrafted to order, and most pieces take approximately 4–6 weeks to complete. At busy times we may need longer.

As each design is made with care and attention to detail, timelines can vary slightly, so we always recommend checking the specific product listing for the most accurate estimate.

Each piece is created by a skilled goldsmith in our UK workshop, often made entirely by hand. Because of this, production naturally takes time — particularly as ashes jewellery involves a careful and respectful process.

We believe this slower, considered approach ensures your finished piece is made with the attention, care and craftsmanship it deserves. It is truly worth the wait for a keepsake that will last a lifetime.

Yes. The cremation ashes are permanently sealed within the design, with the exception of our Echoes collection, where ashes are used to texture the surface of the metal only.

Yes. We can incorporate hair insted of ashes in any of the designs in our ENCAPTURED collection and select designs in our UNDER THE STONE collection.

No. We have chosen to use resin to incorporate ashes in a colourful way rather than glass. Both materials have their strengths and their drawbacks.

Glass jewellery, whilst beautiful, comes with the risks of irrepairable breakage, plus using glass limits the design freedom we would have. Rather than use glass, we have chosen to create a collection of real gemstone jewellery to offer a more luxurious feel.

Resin jewellery gives us endless design and colour options, plus control over how ashes are placed. The drawbacks of resin are that it can be damaged if treated very roughly, or can eventually yellow over a long period of time. To mitigate this we use high quality resin with proven anti-yellowing qualities over a period of many years. We are also able to easily restore the resin surface should it become damaged so it looks like new.

Our ashes jewellery is available in sterling silver and solid 9ct or 18ct gold, including yellow, rose, and white gold options. Most metal options are already priced on the site, but if not simply contact us for a quote.
