HOW OUR ASHES JEWELLERY IS MADE
At Hold upon Heart we currently offer four distinct collections of memorial ashes jewellery, all made in differrent ways. Below you will find a short summary of the jewellery we offer and the making process behind each collection.
ENCAPTURED
VIEW ENCAPTURED DESIGNS
This collection is all about colour, with cremation ashes or hair carefully set within jewel-toned resin to create pieces that are beautifully individual. You can choose from 12 different colours, with the option to include crushed opal for sparkle & iridescence, or opt for our flat colours with a subtle, pearlescent shimmer.
You can also decide whether you’d like the ashes to be discreetly hidden beneath the coloured resin, or displayed above. This is entirely a personal choice, some prefer to see the colour, rich and uninterrupted, some draw comfort from seeing the ashes.
The majority of our Encaptured collection is handmade to order in our Shropshire workshop, crafted from raw metal before being set with your loved one’s ashes. A small number of designs are created for us by a trusted supplier, which we then carefully set with ashes, engrave, and finish in-house.
ECHOES
View ECHOES COLLECTION
Our Echoes collection offers a subtle approach to ashes jewellery. Each unique piece is handmade to order in our Shropshire studio from sterling silver or solid gold. Using an ancient technique, cremation ashes are pressed into the surface of the metal, creating a wonderful, moon-like textured finish - a truly lasting impression.
Rather than encasing the ashes within the piece, this process allows them to shape the metal itself. The result is dainty jewellery that is comfortable to wear - subtle, quiet, organic, and entirely unique. Every mark is truly unrepeatable, created through touch and pressure, resulting in a deeply personal piece of memorial jewellery.

The Secret Ashes collection is built around the idea of ashes being carefully concealed within the metal itself. Each piece is handmade to order in our Shropshire studio, designed to hold remembrance quietly and personally.
The ashes are fully enclosed within the jewellery - unseen, protected, and known only to the wearer. The result is a subtle and deeply meaningful piece, carrying its significance in a private and personal way.
UNDER THE STONE
VIEW UNDER THE STONE
Our Under the Stone collection combines ashes jewellery with the natural beauty of real gemstones. Each piece features a genuine gemstone, beneath which a small amount of cremation ashes is carefully and securely sealed. The result is a refined and discreet form of memorial jewellery, where remembrance is held beneath the surface rather than openly displayed.
This collection is still in its early stages, and we plan to introduce many more designs over the coming year. As it grows, our focus will remain on craftsmanship and individuality - we are not looking to replicate the look of mass-produced crystal jewellery, but to create pieces that feel personal, considered, and truly unique.
