We are so pleased to be able to introduce you to our new cremations ashes memorial jewellery collection. Its been our aim for some time to create a memorial ashes collection, as our customers often ask if we are able to help with this. In January this year we finally began the process of getting the ideas out of my head and into silver.
We absolutely love creating new designs, but the process does take a fair bit of time and effort, working through the initial ideas, working out the best techniques, then making those final tiny tweaks, ensuring each product is as close to perfect as can be.
Several of our designs use memorial symbolism to add that little bit of extra meaning to each unique piece. We really wanted each piece to tell a story, to be truly beautiful in it's own right, to be more than just a receptacle for ashes.
We particularly love our memorial ashes swivel locket designs, which have evolved quite a lot during the design process. These are beautifully tactile and have subtle hand engraved textures contrasting with areas of high polish. Its hard to pick a favourite but I particularly like the Dove design, and the In the Garden design, which holds a lot of meaning for me personally following the loss of my grandmother at the beginning of the year.
We still have a lot of designs in the pipeline that we are working on finalising and photographing - we will be introducing a collection of men's memorial ashes jewellery in the next week or so, as well as several more bezel designs and locket designs, rings, and some subtle, secret ashes necklaces.
After spending years on the quest to produce the perfectly polished flat silver or gold surface (much more difficult than you would think), its really refreshing to be working with texture, colour and shape.
