This piece is entirely handmade to order in my Shropshire studio. Please allow approximately 3-4 weeks for your jewellery to be carefully made before dispatch.
Robins are often seen as a comforting reminder that those we love are never truly far away. Handmade by me in sterling silver or solid gold, each robin is individually textured using your loved one's cremation ashes, creating a beautiful moon-like finish that's unique to your piece.
Rather than concealing the ashes within the jewellery, I use them to create a lasting impression directly in the precious metal, resulting in a discreet memorial that's perfect for everyday wear. For a final personal touch, I can engrave the reverse with a message of your choice, or even reproduce your own handwriting.
Once we receive your order, we will send you a simple kit to collect a small amount of your loved one’s cremation ashes. The kit contains a biodegradable sealable bag and spoon, allowing you to gather the ashes with care and dignity.
We require approximately one teaspoon of ashes per item ordered. Only a small amount of ashes will be used, and all unused ashes will be carefully returned to you along with your finished pieces.
For your convenience, a return envelope is provided. Please note that return postage is not included, allowing you to select the postal service you feel most comfortable using.
This design can feature a short personalised message on the back. Choose from the below font options, or provide your own handwriting to be engraved.
For handwritten messages, its best to limit to 1-2 words max to ensure legibility of the engraving. Remember to e-mail a photo of your handwriting to studio@holduponheart.co.uk after ordering, together with your order number.
Each piece is individually made to order in our Shropshire studio by our goldsmith, Melanie, a designer-maker with over a decade of experience creating memorial jewellery.
Our stated production time begins from the date we receive your ashes and reflects the care and craftsmanship involved in creating your piece. During particularly busy periods, this timeframe may vary slightly.
If you need your jewellery by a specific date within the estimated timeframe, please leave a note in the “Note to the studio” box at checkout and we will always do our best to accommodate you.
Once your jewellery is ready to dispatch, we’ll email to let you know.
