The Molten Fingerprint Pendant begins as solid precious metal, melted until it softens and flows. Guided by flame and hand, it settles into an organic, freeform shape — softly curved, fluid, and completely unique. No moulds. No replicas. Just metal in its most natural state.

Once formed, your chosen fingerprint is carefully engraved into the surface, preserving every ridge and swirl in striking detail. The contrast of the deeply etched print against the smooth, polished metal creates a piece that feels both raw and refined — intimate, yet timeless.

Each pendant is one of a kind, shaped by the unpredictable beauty of molten metal and marked with a fingerprint that exists nowhere else in the world.

We can work with fingerprints you already have, or with fingerprints taken at home using a pencil and sticky tape - follow the instructions below:

Each print is carefully resized to fit your jewellery, allowing us to work with prints from babies aged 6 months and over, through to adults.

Once you have your fingerprint, simply take a clear close-up photo and email it to studio@holduponheart.co.uk, including your order number and name. We’ll confirm receipt and begin creating your piece.

This design can feature a personalised message on the back. Choose your preferred font from the options shown below, or provide your own handwritten message to be engraved.

For handwritten messages, its best to limit to 2-3 words max to ensure legibility of the engraving.

Each piece is individually made to order in our Shropshire studio by our goldsmith, Melanie - a designer-maker with over a decade of experience creating meaningful and unique fingerprint jewellery.

Our stated production time begins from the date we receive your fingerprints and reflects the care and craftsmanship involved in creating your piece. During particularly busy periods, this timeframe may vary slightly.

If you need your jewellery by a specific date within the estimated timeframe, please leave a note in the “Note to the studio” box at checkout and we will always do our best to accommodate you.
