Oooh it's finally here! We have been working on our latest collection of fingerprint jewellery since the New Year. It's been quite a journey, and we are over the moon to have this collection added to our site!
Well, for sometime now we have offered two styles of fingerprint jewellery. One made using a mould - now called our True Touch collection, and another made using an ink fingerprint. We have been making fingerprint jewellery for coming up to nine years now, and during that time have found that people tend to find taking ink fingerprints easier. We have also found that ink fingerprints often give better results for Memorial Jewellery than a fingerprint mould. We love the graphic nature of engraved fingerprints made from an ink print, which really shouts that fingerprint pattern. However, we also love the tactility of the True-Touch pieces - having that dipped impression you can place your finger in and feel the ridges of the print. So.... in true Hold upon Heart style, we decided trying to combine the two and our Ink Impressions collection was created!
Our Ink Impressions are foundry cast, and can be made in sterling silver, 9ct and 18ct gold - yellow, rose and white. All the pieces feature a fingerprint dimple that you can place your own finger into, and this dimple will be engraved with your loved one's own unique fingerprint, creating a striking engraved print with perfect clarity of detail, but with that "pressed into the silver" look only previously achieved with the true touch collection.
What's more, as we can create stock of our Ink Impression pendants and charms, we are able to make and dispatch these pieces in approximately 2 weeks, compared to the 6-8 weeks it takes for a cast to order True-Touch pendant or charm. What's not to love?!
